PhotoChats in CVDCC-Members Only

Reinstated this past June, Photochats are informal sessions for club members that focus upon particular subjects of interest. A PhotoChat session leader, usually a senior member of the club, will share his/her expertise in a forum that might include specific camera techniques, photographic venues/destinations, post processing techniques, or tips on how to photograph different types of subjects. The PhotoChats are usually recorded and made available to members after the sessions.

For the forseeable future the PhotoChats will be held via Zoom videoconferencing.

While this is very much a work in progress, by traveling and photographing sites along the highway, he is trying to understand why this road captures the interest and imagination of so many people." Neil will share some of his photos and insights he has gathered on his travels so far.

Charles Stricker

 "Hummingbirds-Facts & Photo Tips"

Synopsis: Charles will discuss why the phrase: "A mother's work is never done" applies to the female hummingbirds as he discusses the process from hummingbird nest building, incubating the eggs, finding food and feeding the babies, teaching the babies to fly and then starting the process all over again. He will show photos of these hummingbird activities from the multiple hummingbird families that he has watched and photographed in his back yard in Palm Desert. We hope you will enjoy numerous fun facts about hummingbirds and their life cycle. Also discussed will be common photo tips that will enhance your images of these small, busy creatures. However, these photo tips will apply to almost any photographic situation."
