El Paseo Cruise Night, Fridays in 2018 at 3:00PM at The Gardens at El Paseo garage upper level.
Automobile enthusiasts meet from 3:00 to 4:30 PM on the upper level of the garage. Cruise dates are Feb 16 and Mar 2. The last cruise is Apr 6 and begins at 4:00 PM. For more info click here.

Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival
Dates for the county fair are February 16-25, 2018. Fri-Mon 10:00 am to 10:00 pm and Tues-Turs noon-10:00 pm. There are many photography opportunities such as camel and ostrich races, monster trucks, demolition derby, bull riding, nightly musical pageant, midways with fun rides and plenty to eat, and great people watching. "Photochats are open to all members, new ones being especially invited. These workshops offer various topics for presentation with audience participation. If you have a particular photograph you would like to discuss just bring it along for projection, any size .jpg. Held at Portola Community Center, usually 9:00 a.m."

CVDCC High School Photographic Competition
From time to time CVDCC conducts a High School Photographic Competition open to students attending high schools across the Coachella Valley. An extremely high quality of entries is received and judging among the entries was most challenging.
